Review: Mary Kay Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush

I have been very blessed to have been given the gift of nice skin.  I have never had major breakouts.  I have never had to take extensive care of my skin.  I do have one problem though, my pores.  My pores are always clogged and look gross.  (I know, weird.  Clogged pores but no breakouts.)

I wash my face but my pores are still clogged.  I use a facial scrub but my pores are still clogged.

I finally found the solution!!!  A cleansing brush!!

I was given a Mary Kay Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush to try out.  I have two words for it...LOVE IT!

This graphic shows the differance between cleansing with your fingers and cleansing with the Mary Kay Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush.  No wonder my pores were always clogged!! The Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush removes 85% more makeup than using your fingers alone.  Not only does it remove more dirt but it also polishes away the look of past skin damage and softens fine lines and wrinkles.

This brush is AMAZING!  It has two speeds (I always use the faster of the two).  It comes with two brush heads.  Each brush will last around 3 months.  It even comes with batteries, not too many items actually come with batteries any more.

The cleansing brush is dermatologist tested and is suitable for sensitive skin.  The brush is extremely easy to use.

Simply remove your eye makeup first and then wet your face and brush head.  The brush is water resistant so no worries if you get the entire piece wet, just don't dunk it in water.

Now you are ready for your cleanser.  I have been using a Mary Kay cleanser (more on it in an upcoming post).  I squeeze a small amount in the the palm of my hand.

I then turn on my Cleansing Brush and work up the cleanser in my palm.  To make sure that you are thoroughly cleansing your face you will want to clean your face in five sections, making sure you work the brush for 15 seconds in each section.

I use Mary Kay Timewise Repair Foaming Cleanser and foam it does!  The brush makes it even foamier.  Because of this you end up using less of the cleanser than you would if you were only rubbing it on your face with your hands.  $money saver$

After working each section for 15 seconds you can now wash everything off with some water.  Ta-da!

Are you interested in purchasing one?  The price is $50.00 and worth every cent.  You can buy yours here through a dear friend Ana.  Ana and her husband Kent were my husbands youth ministers growing up and Kent married my husband and I.  She is a wonderful person and love to recommend her as your Mary Kay consultant.   You can also ask her questions on her facebook page.

I will be telling you all more about what I do after I wash my face every day and night in an upcoming post.  (hint: it has a lot to do with Timewise Repair.  Ok, it is Timewise Repair but act surprised, ok?)

**I was given the Mary Kay Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush to sample and share.  All my opinions are my own and are never swayed by a person or company.**

  1. $50 is quite pricey fora Clarisonic dupe. I believe the Olay one is a bit cheaper still
