Who is ready for a month of giveaways?

That's right!  I will be hosting giveaways throughout the entire month of July in celebration of my birthday month.  There will be a giveaway posted each Monday with each winner announced the following Friday.  If you know your calender then you will see that July has 5 Mondays!  That's F-I-V-E giveaways!!

I learned about That's Sew Adorable through one of the many wonderful blogs that I follow.  I immediately went and made it a favorite on Etsy as well as "liked" it on Facebook.  The shop is full of adorable items.  You can visit it by following this link.

"Sewing and creating are my passions and I especially love to personalize gifts to make it extra special.

I started sewing in junior high with my first home economics class. I made my grandma a butterfly pillow with felt embroidery. After she passed away well into my adult years, my aunt gave that pillow back to me! It meant so much to my grandma, and shows me just how much handmade gifts mean to others. In my second home ec class, I made a set of stuffed animals - a momma pig and her 3 babies. My kids play with these now - and they're over 20 years old!
My parents bought me my first sewing machine from the Mini Merchant. I wish I still had it today, but it got put to good use. My first project on my own? I "designed" a bride and groom teddy bear set for my cousin who got married in 1989. I was a busy kid.

My love of sewing led into many years of cross-stitch, yarn work, and other crafts. I rediscovered my love for my machine though after the birth of my oldest daughter. I found myself saying, a lot, "Hey, I wonder if I can make that?" Now I love to make things for both of my daughters, and love the challenge of finding things to construct for my two sons. I even am teaching "home economics" to a group of homeschooling kids, hoping to spark a love of creating in their young hearts.

I got my first embroidery machine last year when a friend offered to sell me hers because she wasn't using it. Then I was hooked! Personalizing then got "sew" easy. :)
