knitting e-book review + FREE download

I was approached a few days ago to do a knitting review.

I couldn't believe it.  In fact I had to read the message several times just to make sure it was real.

Me?

I feel incredibly honored and blessed to bring you a review of the e-book Love of Knitting.

The e-book features three "intermediate" knitting patterns featuring lace stitch work.

Never used lace stitches?  Have you just started knitting?  Have you mastered the knit and purl stitch?

If you answered yes to all of these questions then this knitting book is perfect for you.  I recommend giving the third pattern, the Linen Lace Trim, a try for you beginners.  It is the perfect project to learn all the more complicated-ish stitches.  This pattern has K2TOG, PSSO, SSK, YO and SL1 stitches.  The pattern is a repeating pattern of 14 rows.  You can make it as short or as long as you want or need.

Of the three projects in this e-book, I knitted the Linen Lace Trim myself.  It was a lot of fun to knit up. I love how it looks on my throw pillow.

I used some Knit Picks Shine Worsted in Willow out of my stash for this project.  I love the softness of the Shine yarn.  I also love that I just so happened to have some yarn that matched our pillows color schemes.

This fall I am looking forward to knitting up the Espalier Wrap.  It is absolutely gorgeous with it's bobbles, cabling and scalloped edging.  Again, I am planning on using some Knit Picks Shine yarn for this one as well.  I am wanting to make a few of these as Christmas gifts but I will probably be a bit selfish and keep one for myself.

Isn't this shirt gorgeous? The Cielo Shell pattern:

"Soft and gorgeous is the only way to describe this beautiful shell with a cowl collar and midriff lace design. If you consider yourself an advanced beginning knitter, this project will leave you feeling like a pro."

The lace work is beautiful!

Do you want to own these gorgeous patterns?  The wonderful people at Love of Knitting are very generous and is giving away the pattern for free to all of my readers!!

Just go HERE to download the e-book!

Please send pictures of your finished projects!  I would love to see which yarns and colors you choose.  You can post them to my facebook page.

Happy knitting!!
